[ALC] ALC Indore Event (May 2020)

Dear All,

As per ALC Event guidelines [1], we would like to request for PMC approval
for the upcoming ALC Indore Event.

The ALC [2] Indore Chapter [3] is planning a webinar on 'Open Source & ASF
Awareness' at Indore, India, on the 9th of May 2020.

Going forward on our journey to create social impact and spread awareness
on
Open source and Apache in the local area.
As a next step, we are planning to conduct an online session with students
fraternity.
We are hopeful that it will empower them to make better career decisions
and choose
the future course of action.

In the event, we will have an online session covering the following topics:

# Open Source
  -- What is Open-Source
  -- History of Open-Source
  -- Open-Source Vs Closed source
  -- Open-Source license

# The Apache Way
  -- About the Apache Software Foundation and it's history
  -- About the Apache Way
  -- ICLA and how it should be signed to contribute in ASF
  -- Apache Incubator
  -- The Foundation structure
  -- The projects under the Apache umbrella
  -- The Mailing list and it's usage
  -- How to pick a project based domain/programming language interest

quite a new into my career experience.

These type of webinar were the once, I was quite awaited for. Would request

There is a slight correction in the statement,
80+ people registered for the event and around 50+ people participated
in the event.

Hello All,

ALC Indore successfully organized the webinar on "Open-Source and ASF
Awareness" on the 9th of May 2020.

We are pleased to share that an overwhelming number of *80+ attendees*
including students and professionals appeared for the event.
We conducted the webinar via Google Meet and got registrations for the
event beforehand.
The session duration was about 1 hour including Q&A.

Overall it was an amazing experience for all of us and the event was a
huge success.
Other details regarding the event can be found here [1].

Thanks to everyone who participated in the event and helped us conduct
it smoothly.
