getting started

Hello *,

I've been reading this list for a while now, I'd read some documentation and
tutorials about beehive and posted here once. All this hoping to understand
what you can do with beehive. Well, I haven't understood.

Could you all please be so kind as to point me to some documentation on
beehive that shows what you can do with it? I'd like to see a diagram of
sorts that depicts how the framework fits into other solutions, what it can
replace and what you gain in using it... does it exist?

Lucio.

Hi Mike,

I have not seen any email on this list about configuring or deploying
an application implemented with Beehive on GlassFish. One thing to
note is that Beehive has not been certified to support EE 5. For
example, NetUI and JSF integration supports JSF 1.1. You would
probably need to continue to deploy a NetUI web app using Servlet 2.4.
Please share your results or information about issues you come across.

Kind regards,
Carlin

Setting up Beehive on Glassfish

Posted by "Hardman, Michael (GE Infra, Aviation)" <Mi...@ge.com>.
Hi,

I am currently working on a project that has been developed for
deployment on Weblogic 9.2 server, to this end we have made use of
Weblogics Beehive implementation. Looking forward we are considering
changing are target server to glassfish. Has anyone had any experince
in setting up Beehive to work under glassfish and could advise me in
what needs to be done in order to accomplish this.

There are lots of great tutorials and diagrams in the beehive site
documentation. That being said, the best simple tutorial that I have
found to really understand how to use it is on the BEA WebLogic site.
The Weblogic Workshop has the Beehive Eclipse plugins built into it.
