update - I thought I could simple over-write the old data, but I cannot.

My process is to take data from a  spreadsheet, transfer it to a table in Base
and then execute a report. This data changes everyday (sales). I was able to
open up the table in Base, delete the old data, then populate the fields with
new. Now, I am unable to open up the table, therefore, I cannot enter in new
data for reporting.

I hope some one can help me here.
