[jira] [Commented] (AIRFLOW-2288) Source tarball should not extract
to root

Taylor Edmiston commented on AIRFLOW-2288:
------------------------------------------
[~bolke] I wonder if I can help with this one, and actually if it's still an issue?
I tried downloading the .tar.gz from the latest release on GitHub as well as the source and binary releases at [https://archive.apache.org/dist/incubator/airflow/1.9.0-incubating/.|https://archive.apache.org/dist/incubator/airflow/1.9.0-incubating/] From what I can tell, all of them appear to extract into a directory on macOS and not the current directory.
Is this issue for something different than that?
