Steps :

hdfs dfsadmin -rollingUpgrade prepare
Check the Namenode UI..

Coming like below:
Rolling upgrade started at Tue Jul 08 2014 18:34:35 GMT+0530 (Sri Lanka Standard Time). 
Rollback image has not been created.
