newbie question : i can't acces absolute symbolic link created with ln -s command on LINUX

Hi everybody,


Where is my mistake ?

i can't acces symbolic link with Tomcat 4.1.8 standalone on LINUX.
i have created a link with ln -s command on LINUX. (ln -s /appli appli in ROOT directory)
If this symbolic link don't refer to a directory which is in webapps tree i have an error 404 with my Browser.
why ?


That is ok with Tomcat 4.0.4
i' can acces with a real directory created with mkdir
