Jaigak, this sounds like a very useful exercise to validate YARN apis and .
Please provide a patch (details here: http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/HowToContribute) and make it a example module under hadoop-trunk/hadoop-mapreduce-project/hadoop-yarn/hadoop-yarn-applications/ (it should be a peer of hadoop-trunk/hadoop-mapreduce-project/hadoop-yarn/hadoop-yarn-applications/hadoop-yarn-applications-distributedshell).
