CB-9762 iOS Launch Storyboard update
So, in playing around with my PR, I've discovered the following:
- Travis CI fails because it is using Xcode 6.1; they pass if I specify Xcode 7.3 explicitly.
- Xcode 6.1 does not like the additions I made to the asset library and it complains loudly about about the storyboard (even when not set as the launch storyboard)
- Cordova documentation (http://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/latest/guide/platforms/ios/index.html#requirements-and-support) indicates that the minimum required version of Xcode is 6.0
- Xcode 6.0 will run on macOS 10.9 and higher.
This leads me to believe that this would be considered a breaking change, since the minimum version of Xcode would now be 7.0. Xcode 7.0 requires a minimum of macOS 10.10.4.
Given all of that, I'm thinking this can't be rolled out until we have a major cordova-ios release. Thoughts?
[Also added the above to the JIRA issue]

Meant to respond earlier, but was busy trying to get ready for iOS 10 on one of my native apps. Fun times! ;-)
4.3 is fine by me, although I’d appreciate a second set of eyes on the PR (https://github.com/apache/cordova-ios/pull/250/files) in case I’ve missed a case or if there are things that could be done a better way.
I’ve also updated the issue with a 4.3.x label.
Note that splashscreen plugin support for the launch storyboards isn’t in yet. I’ll be working on that this week.

We can either roll this in to cordova-ios 4.3.0 or cordova-ios 4.4.0.
cordova-ios 4.3.0 has a new feature, <framework> CocoaPods support.

The docs are horribly updated. I think we were waiting on Apple to make
Xcode 7 required for submitting to the App Store, and they did that, and we
didn't notice.
I don't consider this a breaking change, since by now most people would
have gone Xcode 7 already because of Apple.
