Sound of Knowledge DVD problems

hi all

I just got an apachecon session DVD from the sound of knowledge.
unfortunately, it won't play on any of my 3 players.

has anyone else gotten a DVD and had it work?  I'm wondering if it's just
the disk or, well, something else...
