RE: TDK2.2-RC1 testing, was Re: [POLL RESULTS] Which version of T urbine are you using?

Hi All,

I've just done an initial test of TDK 2.2 RC1 using Ant 1.5, JDK1.3, Tomcat
4.0.4, trying to be as 'newbie' as I could be and found that it is working
_really_ well, aside from some documentation issues (which I have to help
address). There were only 3-4 issues I found, all of which relate to some
configuration of the build.properties file, and all of which are addressable
by making the TDK docs a little clearer (some subtle changes from 2.1->2.2
too).

I've yet to actually go further than the 'just-out-of-the-box' test and go
on the part where you modify the data schema and some code changes, but even
this first look at 2.2 RC1 is really encouraging (particularly considering
my own initial TDK 2.1 experience an eon ago).

I've also done the same sort of thing for the actual Source of Turbine 2.2
and have only a couple of issues, again regarding some changes to docs to
help point the way.

thanks to all who worked on this version of 2.2, it's looking very nice.

regards,

Paul Smith
