Coyote HTTP connector v/s HTTP/1.1 connector

The Tomcat 4.1 documentation says that the HTTP/1.1
connector is now deprecated in favor of the Coyote
HTTP/1.1 connector.

Elsewhere, it is mentioned that Coyote is a new
architecture for connectors.. what are the
advantages/disadvantages of Coyote HTTP v/s the
standard HTTP connector? And is the Coyote HTTP
connector usable on Tomcat 4.0? 3.x?

I have similar questions on Coyote JK/2 v/s standard
JK2... all these different connectors are getting
confusing!

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
