    Resolution: Won't Fix

Regarding plugins we have come to the conclusion to always specificy the version, so there's no confusion what gets used. A general snapshot cleaning tool for the local repo might be nice but is not in the scope of the plugin tools.

> it would be nice to have an option in the bootstrap + mojo in the plugin plugin that could walk the plugin groups and cleanse locally installed versions of plugins to ensure you get what is in the repository.
> This perhaps would not be necessary with better configuration of when to use/not to use development versions of plugins, which is under consideration for 2.1. Let's evaluate it though.
