Can the interface of nutch 1.0 used by nutch's higher versions?

Hi all,
 For the interface is taken off after v1.0 , and it seems like providing the
path of crawl result in the nutch-site.xml would make the search interface
working... Nothing works at all now,though I have some tests on it.
Anyone can show me the ropes??
