Is there any particular reason to shorten or obfuscate this URL?  If not, might I suggest we try to use full URLs where ever possible in the issue tracker and mailing lists?

...especially in something semi-permanent like the issue tracker.

There's been some recent drama about the URL shorteners going down and 
disappearing, so the safe bet is to always use the full URL.

The reason for shortening: The url is long (>120 chars) and it contain
special characters like @, <, >. Assuming few email clients may break
the url, I did shorten this url.

I'll make a note not to shorten these sort of urls, if everyone agree
that we shouldn't do so.
