DOM Parser -> SAX Parser in next SOAP Version ???

Are there any efforts to exchange the existing DOM
usage with a SAX usage in the future. For example:
Exchange the usage of DOM Tree in the build-in
serializers/deserializers with SAX to increase speed.

Are there any plans for the future of SOAP which go in
this direction? Where can I read more about this? I
can not find anything about it in the SOAP
documentation...
