[jira] Resolved: (XERCESC-974) Base64::decode whitespace

     [ http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESC-974?page=all ]

Alberto Massari resolved XERCESC-974:
-------------------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed
     Assign To: (was: Xerces-C Developers Mailing List)

Base64 data uses whitespace only as a formatting, not to represent data, so it must be ignored. I have updated the documentation of ::decode to state which kind of whitespace is allowed depending on the conformance level that is specified

> Base64::decode whitespace
> -------------------------
>
>          Key: XERCESC-974
>          URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESC-974
>      Project: Xerces-C++
>         Type: Bug
>   Components: Documentation
>     Versions: 2.3.0
>  Environment: Operating System: Other
> Platform: Other

>
> It would be nice if the docs for Base64::decode mentioned the fact that ::decode
> removes any whitespace.
