Sorry for the late reply.
Thanks [~afernandez],[~mgergely][~oleewere] for the comments and suggestions.
[~oleewere] I love the idea of having a separate component (infra-solr-manager) to schedule jobs and keep track of files in HDFS. Is there a jira regarding this. If so I would love to be part of this and collaborate to create the component.
Meanwhile, would it be a good idea to use my proposed system as a temporary solution to download multiple logs?I understand Log Search is stateless. So when the log download is initiated, the UI can wait for the download to get completed (Show the progress of the task). Like Mike suggested, if the number of log messages is limited, can this be used?

> Ambari Log Search can be used to download log messages for further analysis. It lets you download log messages generated by a specific service in a specific node in the cluster.
> The challenge comes when troubleshooting several services spanning several nodes and you want to collect all the logs, there is no simple way to click and collect them at once. I am proposing a solution that would simplify the current actions needed to collect logs by clicking a button. The proposed download button will collect all the logs in the search criteria, organize them by service, place them on HDFS and offer a download link
