[jira] [Created] (RANGER-4011) option to disable creation of default policies per hierarchy

Madhan Neethiraj created RANGER-4011:
----------------------------------------

Summary: option to disable creation of default policies per hierarchy
                 Key: RANGER-4011
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/RANGER-4011
             Project: Ranger
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: admin
            Reporter: Madhan Neethiraj
            Assignee: Madhan Neethiraj

When a service is created, Ranger admin creates a number of default policies - one per resource hierarchy. For example, following default policies are created for a Hive service:
 # all - database
 # all - hiveservice
 # all - database, table, column
 # all - database, table
 # all - database, udf
 # all - url

An option to not create default policies per hierarchy will be useful for services that don't require them.
