Proposing Gump integrated into other solutions...
... such as SourceCast from CollabNet, or SF.net or ... ?
What would be ASF's stance/policy on such things? Sybase (my employer) uses
SourceCast (as does Java.net) and I believe it lacks a solution (like Gump)
in it's services. I'd like to pitch Gump to these folks, but I don't know
what sort of licensing issues that might raise.
Any guidance appreciated.
regards,
Adam

You may also want to look for CollabNet on
<http://www.apache.org/foundation/members.html>. I don't think it
reflects current reality in all cases, but should give you an idea of
how much CollabNet is aware of Apache technology.

<groan> (only slightly). I guess I ought look at e-mail addresses postfixes
when responding.
Try the new (improved :-) Python version, please & then go talk nicely to
some product manager. Your stuff needs Gump, and Gump is ready (IMNSHO ;-).
Then, once done, can the Sybase branding of SourceCast
[http://www.codexchange.sybase.com/] get it pretty please. :-) :-)

Well, speaking with my CollabNet hat on, I can honestly say that we
know of Gump. :)
I set up a local installation a little over a year ago for internal
code. Hopefully one day, it will find its way into SourceCast.

I'm clueless on all this, but I vaguely recall that some folks have paid
Apache for use of their stuff, and I wondered if me (random nobody @ apache)
proposing the ideas to folks might cause fundraising@ some grief. Like I
said, this is over my head, I just think there are folks out there who need
this beastie, and I want to let them know it. :-)

I'm not sure I totally understand what you are asking. The Apache
License allows for integration into commercial products so Gump could
be integrated into SourceCast (or anything else).
