After selecting and inserting the header (probably with an image) "Latvijas
prezidentūras Eiropas Savienības Padomē sekretariāts" from the site
www.es2015.lv into .odt document Writer hanged and multiple "document recovery"
occured.

I can't confirm this issue. tested varius cases:
Copy the whole page.
Copy the header of the website
go in to the source from the webpage and copy the header
It works perfectly with AOO
please add more informations about the browser you use, and so on.
add keywords oooqa and needmoreinfo
