supported java platforms

Good afternoon,

I was looking at our docs and noticed that nowhere (I could find) is
mentioned what JVM we support.

I would say that we support java 6, 7 and 8. Not aware anyhow on
buildbot(s) running all of them.

What are the supported java platforms? Shall we output something like
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/eol-135779.html where we
highlights when we stop supporting a specific version?
