   ### Description
   
   When I open NetBeans terminal window at the moment I have open some file from some project, It will helps me, when the terminal will be opened in the root of the project.
   
   Possible way can be with combination of https://github.com/apache/netbeans/issues/4615 if NetBeans propagate the project path into some environment variable into the terminal.

   Use **Terminal extras** plugin . I can't find the current plugin location right now. But I have an old nbm file **Version: 1.15**, I'm using it in **NB 17**. It's working for me. You have to search internet and find one.

   right click on project -> Open In Terminal isn't working for you?

   @mbien It is a possible way, but not so „ergonomic“, because there is no possibility to do that by keyboard shortcut.
