[Issue 127778] New: Mac AOO Draw print truncates US legal to US
letter (workaround found)
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127778
Issue ID: 127778
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Mac AOO Draw print truncates US legal to US letter
(workaround found)
Product: Draw
Version: 4.1.5
Hardware: Mac
OS: macOS 10.13
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 (lowest)
Component: printing
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: pagifford@gmail.com
Target Milestone: ---
A Mac AOO Draw file formatted as US legal-size (8.5" x 14") prints truncated to
US letter-size (8.5" x 11"), unless the user first goes to macOS System
Preferences > Printers & Scanners, and temporarily changes the default paper
size to US Legal. This step is not necessary when printing a US legal-size Mac
AOO Writer or Mac AOO Calc file. Mac AOO Impress may have this same problem.

To get Draw to print on Letter format one has specifically set set the paper
size using the Properties button in the print dialog.
Attached is a Draw document that has Page Format set as Legal.

Additional info: Windows users apparently have a "Properties" button, but the
AOO Mac print window does not. Also, AOO Mac does not have File > Page Setup
like all other Mac apps I've ever used do have, where you can select paper size
for an individual file. Hence, the temporary macOS System Preferences
workaround for legal-format Draw (and Impress?) files, but not Writer or Calc.
