CCSHB : PASS!

Hi there!

Need to share this :) Few minutes ago I got my Cloudera Certified Specialist in Apache HBase with 42 correct answers out of 45!

I am very grateful to the following people and groups:

* All those who have shared knowledge at this list

* All those who have contributed for the excellent HBase online book

* Glynn Durham, instructor for the HBase class I took after HBaseCon

* All those presenters from HBaseCon, for sharing their knowledge and their recorded materials

* Lars George, for his excellent HBase Definitive Guide book

* Nick Dimiduk and Amandeep Khurana, authors of HBase in Action book, I am reading in his Early Access version

Feels like I dissected these two books while I was studying for these exam, and worth the efforts! Also, it is not possible to retain all concepts and details without practice, and working in an new project where we are using HBase, since project inception, helped a lot!

There are some really evolving questions, where you need to think about consequences over the system as a whole, and questions that go deeper in its architecture. It's a well elaborated exam indeed.

Thanks again!

Cristofer

Can we move this discussion to another forum and maintain the hbase ML on
hbase usage (not taking/passing exams) ?

Can I ask you..
For Cloudera Certified Specialist what's the coverage of HBase among the
exam?
How many questions are related to hbase and how many are specific to hadoop?

Thank you!

Congrats, Cristofer. Glad you found the exam both challenging and
useful as something to study for. A few of us in the community spent
lots of time reviewing the questions, etc. Hope to see you continue to
use HBase and maybe even contribute some patches down the road!
