[Bug 121278] New: JRE is defective

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=121278

          Priority: P3
            Bug ID: 121278
          Assignee: ooo-issues@incubator.apache.org
           Summary: JRE is defective
          Severity: major
        Issue Type: DEFECT
    Classification: Application
                OS: Windows Vista
          Reporter: bullwinkle.themoose@yahoo.com
          Hardware: PC
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: AOO 3.4.1
         Component: code
           Product: database access

Created attachment 79823
  --> https://issues.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=79823&action=edit
JPG of JRE's installed

Numerous features of OOo are disabled because JRE is not accepted.
Help -> Find and "Use Wizard to create..." features in database

O/S = Vista Business
Dell computer with AMD Athlon processor
OOo 3.4.1
Java1 = 1.7.0_09
Java2 = 1.7.0_07 (Seems to be happier with this one, but it still doesn't
work.)

Also choice of JRE is lost when OOo is closed and reopened.

Please read the release notes:
http://www.openoffice.org/development/releases/3.4.1.html#AOO3.4.1ReleaseNotes-KnownIssues

Apache OpenOffice 3.4.0 and 3.4.1 support Java 7, which is the recommended
configuration; but (especially on 64-bit Windows) you might receive warnings
about the Java version being defective. In that case, download and install the
Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package
