[jira] [Created] (AMBARI-26593) Adding Hbase Thrift server component support from Ambari

Basapuram Kumar created AMBARI-26593:
----------------------------------------

             Summary: Adding Hbase Thrift server component support from Ambari
                 Key: AMBARI-26593
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-26593
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: ambari-server
    Affects Versions: 2.7.9, 3.0.0
            Reporter: Basapuram Kumar
         Attachments: Screenshot 2026-03-16 at 13.52.35-1.png, Screenshot 2026-03-16 at 13.52.35.png, Screenshot 2026-03-16 at 13.53.08.png, Screenshot 2026-03-16 at 13.53.32.png

Currently, the HBase service supports the following components: {*}HBASE_MASTER{*}, {*}HBASE_REGIONSERVER{*}, and {*}HBASE_CLIENT{*}.

I would like to introduce support for an additional component in this stack called {*}HBASE_THRIFT_SERVER{*}. At present, whenever the Thrift server is required, it is operated manually from the cluster nodes.

Starting thrift for Hbase
{code:java}
 /usr/odp/current/hbase-master/bin/hbase-daemon.sh start thrift -p 9091 --infoport 9095 {code}
With this integration, the *HBase Thrift Server* will be managed seamlessly through the {*}Ambari UI{*}, enabling standard lifecycle operations such as start, stop, and monitoring directly from Ambari.

I have successfully tested this integration on a {*}lab-deployed cluster{*}. Below are the details of the integration support implemented for the {*}HBase Thrift Server{*}.
