[Fwd: projects.apache.org]

I think we should list both: HttpClient and HttpComponents.

We need maintainers of the DOAP entry:

Some of you may have visited http://projects.apache.org/, but many of
you won't have. It's a new site that is intended to act as a "white
pages" for the Apache Software Foundation. The data used to produce the
site is controlled by you, the projects!

Each project that is listed on the site has produced a DOAP file, either
just by writing it from scratch or using the DOAP file generator that
can be found on the site. Once the file has been produced it's up to
you, the project, to keep it up to date.

Please note there is no requirement for a project to have or maintain a
DOAP file at present, but we would urge all projects to do so as this
will provide the widest possible picture of the ASF and it's projects.

Every time the site is generated (every 3 hours at present) the latest
copies of all the DOAP files are collected, so there is no need to
advise anyone when you make a change to the file.

Of course you somehow need to get the file listed for the site. This is
done by either adding your files location to the file

https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/infrastructure/site-tools/trunk/projects/files.xml

or by sending an email to site-dev@apache.org with the link and someone
there will add it for you.

If you have questions, comments or feedback please send them to
site-dev@apache.org and we'll try to answer them. The site is approacing
the end of it's development phase and we hope to push it more into the
public eye shortly. When exactly? We don't have a date but it would be
good if we had more projects represented before it went live.
