[jira] Created: (WOOKIE-121) PHP Connector framework

PHP Connector framework
-----------------------

                 Key: WOOKIE-121
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WOOKIE-121
             Project: Wookie
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: Server
            Reporter: Raido Kuli

Hi.

I've done some work on PHP framework. It's basically almost complete
replica of Java version, with few exceptions. You'll find
TestWookieService.php from the package, which is a small example.

At the moment framework is not able to add participants nor get users
for widget instances.

Add participant request returns "bad request 400" and get users "404
not found". If i remove parameters from querystring then
wookie/participants asks for authorization.

There's lot of error handling and some data handling still todo, but
the main part of framework works.

Give it a try.

Thanks Raido - this is a great contribution! Having a PHP connector
framework should make it easier to develop plugins for lots more
applications.

(we need to update http://incubator.apache.org/wookie/embedding-wookie-widgets-in-other-applications.html
to let people know about this)

------------------------------

    Description:
Hi.

Update 02/03/2010:

addParticipants and getUsers for Widget instances working.
XML handling rewritten, now using php simplexml.
Lot's of error handling/exceptions throwing done.

Earlier:

I've done some work on PHP framework. It's basically almost complete
replica of Java version, with few exceptions. You'll find
TestWookieService.php from the package, which is a small example.

At the moment framework is not able to add participants nor get users
for widget instances.

Add participant request returns "bad request 400" and get users "404
not found". If i remove parameters from querystring then
wookie/participants asks for authorization.

There's lot of error handling and some data handling still todo, but
the main part of framework works.

Give it a try.

Done.

In general new comments should not be placed against a closed issue (unless the issue needs to be reopened).

It is also more likely to have the changes made if a patch is provided. This makes it much faster for the committers to process. Of course, since I created the problem here, only fair I fix it too. Thanks for pointing it out.

In general this looks great.

There are potential problems with the license attached to xmlFunctions.php

In my opinion this needs to be replaced, however, I'm taking this up with the project community before doing so.

> replica of Java version, with few exceptions.
