Desired hosting location for Qpid 0.5 Windows installer?
I will shortly have a Windows binary installer for Qpid 0.5 C++. I'm
looking for recommendations on where to host it. Is it legit/desired
to host it at qpid.apache.org?
Thanks,
-Steve

Yeah, if it's going to be part of an official Apache release it needs
to be voted on.

Ok. So we need a [Vote] thread?

The installer for 0.5 has many hand-applied items. However, I'd like
to get the installer part of the release for 0.6 - I believe that
going to cmake will make this easier.

We should host it at qpid.apache.org IMHO. We'll need a further VOTE
to bless it, but that's not a huge deal (3 PMC votes will suffice) and
totally worth it.
How do you build the Windows binary installer? Is it something that we
should integrate into the build and release process for 0.6?

we can make a /contrib/binaries dir maybe and then link them from the
home dir. (not sure of
legal on this as ASF is giving download, ASF might want us to vote it &
check for legal etc. might
need to check in legal-discuss -- actually I am quite sure they will
require it)
Or we can host them on your / or anyone else's site and provide links,
this would not have the
legal issue, and we can have a second called community builds.... or
something like that
