compiling xerces-c for win32

hi,

I want to compile xerces-c 1.3 myself for win32. I can find no support
for doing this. Still, it is possible because a precompiled version can
be downloaded. How was this version created?

Sofar I have attempted (and failed) to run configure through the
Kornshell of the MKS toolkit. The MKS toolkit fakes Unix on win32.
