[m2] link checking plugin?

I've noticed on the nabble archives reference to the m1 link checking
but I can't find an equivalent in m2.

I was sure the maven plugins was doing that (I vaguely recall it
happening) but I can't find anything in the parent poms.

Anyone know how I do link checking?
