Nick Wellnhofer commented on CLOWNFISH-118:

More details here: https://rt.perl.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=132252

Future Perl versions might store subroutines as a coderef in a stash. The change has been reverted in Perl 5.27.6 but it's something we have to watch.

> According to CPAN Testers, a Perl 5 commit between 95db2efbae5edc9942892a1153e1db8056d6ca06 (good) and a68a847ef5e609337bd3f538810884d3b918bfb8 (bad) broke Class#fresh_host_methods. It's probably one of the commits Father Chrysostomos made on Oct 8th and it's possibly something that will get fixed in Perl before 5.28. But maybe it really requires our attention.
