dynamic database driven deploy of endpoints
Hi Guillaume and Smix users,
Basically I'm looking for a way to deploy endpoints for a specific component
(e.g.: servicemix-bean) during runtime dynamicaly based on the entries in
the database.
Let's say I have a servicemix-bean SU for which I have 2 endpoints with
different configuration. Now I want to create a third endpoint with another
configuration. I would need to deploy the SU again in order to get it
running and the only thing that changed would be the xbean.xml.
I would like to have the possibility to have the xbean data in a database
and with just one entry another endpoint is created automatically.
Is there a way to do this? I was thinking some kind of Thread checking the
db for changes, and another component that does the deployment, but not from
the xBean file during startup, but on runtime from database.
I was thinking a database table like this (rough)
endpoint xbean_xml
urn:myBean1 <bean:...
urn:myBean2 <bean:...
I'm having a hard time to figure out where to put the db deployer. It could
be places in the SU to do the work, but I think a better approach would be
to replace the current XBean deployer in with a database driven deployer.
But how could this be achieved? I think this would increase already great
flexibility of servicemix a bit more.
Do you have any ideas on this, or maybe this can be done already. Please let
me know your thoughts on this.
Brgds
Jens
