[jira] [Created] (SOLR-3811) Search Form does not set defType when dismax/edismax boxes are checked

Hoss Man created SOLR-3811:
------------------------------

Summary: Search Form does not set defType when dismax/edismax boxes are checked
                 Key: SOLR-3811
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-3811
             Project: Solr
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: web gui
    Affects Versions: 4.0-BETA
            Reporter: Hoss Man
            Assignee: Stefan Matheis (steffkes)
             Fix For: 4.0

Alexandre Rafalovitch noticed on the solr-user mailing list that if you click on the "dismax" (or "edismax") checkbox in the Solr Admin UI, then you get an (unused) "dismax=true" param added to the URL instead of "defType=dismax"

Stefan Matheis (steffkes) updated SOLR-3811:
--------------------------------------------

    Attachment: SOLR-3811.patch

I've change the two "main" settings for dismax/edismax .. perhaps we should also check the additional settings in those settings if the names are correct?

Hoss Man commented on SOLR-3811:
--------------------------------

steffkes: i would go ahead and commit and then audit other params -- that way we know this fix will make it into 4.0 even if a larger audit doesn't get done in time.

Jack Krupansky commented on SOLR-3811:
--------------------------------------

I did in fact look at the other params and didn't notice any name issues - just a bunch of other issues that I have been filing separately.
