> We should internalize the String-based instance fields of the metastore API classes FieldSchema, Partition, SerDeInfo, and StorageDescriptor in order to save memory. In a test environment with data consisting of about 1800 partitions, the proposed changes are able to save about 24% of old generation memory during a complex query.
