[jira] [Commented] (ARROW-12216) [R] Proactively disable multithreading on RTools3.5 (32bit?)

Neal Richardson commented on ARROW-12216:
-----------------------------------------

One (partial) option could be to set ARROW_DATASET=OFF in the rtools35 build, which will disable all dataset features on 32-bit old windows since they seem not to work anymore.

> RTools 3.5 (on Windows, possibly only on 32 bit) does not seem to support multithreading very well.  The tests have multithreading disabled.  Perhaps it is worth turning off multithreading proactively to avoid users running into errors and being stumped for a while before figuring it out.
