Preconditions.checkState(boolean condition, @Nullable String errorMessageTemplate, @Nullable Object... errorMessageArgs)

errorMessageTemplate should use %s as placeholder.

Flink cdc have many error usage. For example

@Override
public void onBinlogSplitUpdated() {
    Preconditions.checkState(
            AssignerStatus.isNewlyAddedAssigningSnapshotFinished(assignerStatus),
            "Invalid assigner status {}",
            assignerStatus);
    assignerStatus = assignerStatus.onBinlogSplitUpdated();
} {code}
