going offsite for images is a !@#$ pain in the ass.  -1 on this change... 
but +0 on you stuffing a copy of your picture into apache-site.  Of course
then to make this all work we'd all have to have images of the same
size...  (and it'd be nice if there were height= and width= specified so
the browser can do layout before the pictures load).  So um, make that a
-0.
