The link checks from the site checker were passing so it still appears to be picking up the existing links ok, but it was giving a warning on the trademarks check seemingly due to not liking the trademarks page link not using the link text trademark. I have tweaked the existing footer to try and resolve that (https://github.com/apache/artemis-website/commit/22908e5548b738c2a9072baca8f86459da27f95e). Not sure how often/when the checker runs, but I'll give it a look some time.
I did cause a conflict with your change in the process of making that tweak though. That said, I don't actually think we should add duplicate footer navigation links, so I'd close this unless there is a policy update requiring it?

Is there an update to the website policy that wasn't documented yet, or is it now being documented somewhere new, that requires these links must now be in the footer either in addition or instead of their current location?
The policy around website links that I've previously seen/referenced still says:
> Whatever main navigation system your project website uses, it must feature certain text links back to key pages on the main www.apache.org website. These links can appear in whatever main navigation system your site uses...
https://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/pmcs#navigation
The Artemis site navigation doesnt generally use the footer so the links are not there, but its main navigation system at the top has always included a dedicated menu section with the links the policy requires:
<img width="547" height="344" alt="Screenshot From 2026-05-29 09-37-27" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/81e6bbbe-be0f-496a-9f06-25c14df8869d" />

Hmm. Sorry if this was unnecessary. No, you're not required to have them in the footer, and when I looked at the Whimsy check it was failing all of them. I see that you are indeed in compliance.I apologize for the noise.

No worries.
I just looked now and the checks have now run again since my earlier tweaks, and the other results show it definitely saw the updates, but its still complaining on the Trademark check about link-text not containing "trademarks" when it actually now does. From the output it seems like the check probably has a quirk where it only looks at what is after the copyright text, or just the last bit with a link. I have given the footer another tweak in https://github.com/apache/artemis-website/commit/53bc22baeb883b11377880bb139946bf301032e1 and will check some time if that pleased it once it has run again.
