Taglibs must have external TLDs
Summary: Taglibs must have external TLDs
Product: Tomcat 4
Version: 4.0 Beta 2
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: NEW
Severity: Enhancement
Priority: Other
Component: Servlet & JSP API
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: joeo@enigmastation.com
With Tomcat 4.0.4-b2 (at least, haven't gotten 'round to testing others) you
must have taglib .tlds external to the taglib .jars themselves, it seems. On
other containers, such as Orion, you're able to put the TLD in the .jar file, in
META-INF. This is very, very convenient behavior. The servlet spec does not,
however, require this behavior.
