[jira] [Commented] (DIRSTUDIO-1041) Headless run of SWTBot tests

Stefan Seelmann commented on DIRSTUDIO-1041:
--------------------------------------------

This works now.
* On Linux one has to run {{Xvfb :99 -screen 0 1024x768x16 &}} and export {{export DISPLAY=:99}}, then UI tests run don't disturb.
* There is also a Jenkins job that runs UI tests: https://builds.apache.org/view/A-D/view/Directory/job/dir-studio-tycho-ui-tests/
* For failed tests screenshots are captured and saved in tests/test.integration.ui/screenshots

> It should be possible to run SWTBot tests in headless mode within a virtual framebuffer. This allows to run the tests on CI server (even withing an Docker container). It also allows to run the tests without blocking the developer's computer. For test failures screenshots should be captured.
