[I] Ability to Create Subfolders within Metadata Types for Organizational Purposes (hop)
KhajaMohuhn opened a new issue, #3495:
URL: https://github.com/apache/hop/issues/3495
### What would you like to happen?
I'd like to propose a new feature that would allow users to create subfolders within the various metadata types in the Hop GUI. This feature would help users who have a large number of elements under a single metadata type to organize them into subcategories for easier navigation and management.
In the current implementation (as shown in the attached screenshot), all elements are listed directly under their respective metadata type. For example, under the 'Relational Database Connection' metadata type, we have multiple connections listed. If a user has many connections, this list can become quite long and difficult to manage.
When right-clicking on a metadata type or an existing folder, there could be an option to 'Create new subfolder'. Users could then name this folder and drag existing items into it.
