OOE-401 - Error panel missing dialog.xlc at main load

Hi,

After a user registry accident, I had to repair many contents of user appdata
and registry.
After restoring from archives the subdir
../appdata.roaming/Openoffice/4/user/basic
I still got the error (joined hardcopy) for dialog.xlc and dialog.xli

Then I ran the ooe install (4.01) in repair mode.

This don't copy the concerned files, just if deleted (test) install creates 
../basic/script.xlc and
../basic/Standard/script.xlb

It seems to me that there are two possibilities (I don't know the code of ooe)
:
1- The dialog files are forgotten in repair mode
2- The dialog files come from an extension and coherency is not checked

Error. General input/output error.

leads to the same message concerning the same file. The differences are that I
am sure of the origin of the missing file and what I have done.

Hi,

Sorry for the time to answer.

"ooe" is shorter (O)penO()ffic(e). we should say "AOOe" now.

The launcher looks for several files (depending od conditions and options).

I got the error for missing files :

../basic/dialog.xlc and
../basic/Standard/dialog.xlb

This file had been installed (first installation) but accidentally deleted.

After running the installation with option "repair" they are not written.
This generates the error.
I have no time till now to test the VBasic.
May be be they are file linked to extensions. 
If not it is easy to find when these file are installed and check if "repair"
checks if they are present, if not reinstall.

In the extension case :

If it is the case, the problem (important) is that the repair option should
repair too the installed extension (run extensions repair functions).

To solve the problem, for which I could give reproducibility information, I
should know to which extension these files are linked. Then I would have to
reinstall this (these) extensions.

The criteria of reproducibility cannot be applied immediately, it needs before
to get the information about the concerned file. After we will reach the
reproducibility stage.
