We've modeled our backporting closely to httpd's, apr's and subversion's

Of those three, subversion at least has automated that a great deal:

https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/subversion/trunk/tools/dev/svn-merge-revs.py

of course this doesn't quite map to our current, jpeach inspired process;)

I'm in the process of rolling out 3.2.4 but I'm really waiting for a 3.4
release. Also, this probably isn't the thread for this but I think our
stable releases could get more attention in terms of backports if the
process was slightly easier, i'll start a new discussion on this as it's
something that I've found frustrating.

Sorry, it's vacation time here.. so I haven't had time to build/test it.

I don't know if we'll be able to easily upgrade to 3.4.x in current
RHEL/Fedora releases, at least not if there are incompatible config
changes between the releases (Fedora is quite strict about that). So I'm
hoping v3.2.x doesn't stop being maintained once 3.4.0 is out.

FWIW, here is our situation. Something we have high on our list right now
is a somewhat automated regression testing system for our load case. It's
not finished yet, but hopefully "soon" it will be. At that point I hope to
be able to test and meaningfully vote on every stable and dev release. I
don't really feel it adds much to say +1 when all I did was duplicate what
Jenkins does all day.

All that being said, I think our plan currently is to move to 3.4.x from
3.2.0.

After some feedback from the Denver Barcap, I've left
the vote open for what must now be more than a week,
but we still only have our three votes.

is anyone who's actively using 3.2.x still doing tests?
Do you *want* a new 3.2.x release? Or are you all looking
for a stable 3.4.x?

Tested on Fedora Core 18, 64-bit. Passes signature checks, all regressions,
and behaves well as both forward and reverse proxy.

+1.

We're all a bit late ;)

This releases passes with
4 +1 [igalic, zwoop, oschaaf, arno]
0 -1 votes

Thank you all for your feedback.

Incorporating that feedback from the list and from the barcamp, next
time around, I'll make sure

a) to announce a release two t&r two weeks in advance (on dev&users)
b) there are no minor or major holidays in between (this' bit me twice!)
c) *officially* give a week period for testing/feedback/vote.

Well,sorry. I guess I'm a bit late, but: +1.

Builds, passes regression checks and runs on Debian Sid which awaits
this release badly since it fixes the gcc 4.8 compilation failures.

And yes, I appreciate an active stable maintenance a lot.
