   > I am not an Openwhisk committer or anything... so I leave that to the team. But just wanted to bring this to attention, it’s opening up to man in the middle attacks. Even if something else has to be hacked to leverage this, it’s a simple protection. And any API should run on https.
   
   I completely agree. Revisiting this has been on my todo list. And, in fact, we already have a related issue #13.
