I notice that the vote on retirement failed to reach consensus [1].

Since it looks like there has been zero activity in Kitty since the
vote and the requested followup report was not made, I think the IPMC
should take over and decide to retire the project.

IPMC since it was suggested by Jimjag.

It looks like the VOTE thread is +3 for retirement. And has digressed into what will happen with the code.

Would someone care to call the RESULT, or should the IPMC declare it done and proceed with retirement?

Dave

With no reaction within a week and no report since April, I think it's
safe to say that the community is no longer active and should be
retired. It doesn't look like the community has enough energy left to
do that by itself.

Kevan, since you ran the community vote on retirement, would you mind
repeating the vote on general@ for the IPMC?

According to the mailing list, there hasn't been any coding activity for a
very long time. Just about the only topic lately is about whether the
project is retirement fodder. And even that can't get many people involved.

The only objection to retirement seems to be anxiety about whether a
retired project can be forked. If the objector were to understand that any
Apache project can be forked at any time, it seems that there would be no
objection to retirement left.

Perhaps the kitty community can replay the vote with a definitive outcome.
