[jira] Resolved: (INFRA-3394) Allow users to link Apache account with a Github account and synchronize project committers with the mirrored Github repositories

Jukka Zitting resolved INFRA-3394.
----------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix

As discussed above, we for now won't be adding extra features to the Github integration.

Instead the wikis and issue trackers associated with the mirrors at Github have now been disabled.See http://support.github.com/discussions/accounts/1556-no-collaboration-tools-for-apache-mirrors for details.

See also INFRA-3329 for ideas on how to better handle Github pull requests.

> Currently all the Apache git repositories are mirrored to Github - https://github.com/apache.
> It would be great if each Apache member could link his Apache account with his Github account.
> This would allow us to set up automatic synchronization for the Apache project committers with the mirrored Github repositories (Apache project committer would be added as a project collaborator on the Github repository).
> I think this would be useful for many projects (currently it's a bit frustrating because pull requests and issues are enabled, but we can't manage them) .
> Also, if someone can point me to the right direction I can try to help with the implementation.
