This is a regression by the way, it has happened before and was fixed through [CB-4731|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-4731].
I can confirm this is happening again on *cordova@5.1.1*, both *cordova-ios@3.7.0* and *cordova-ios@3.8.0*.
