Providing source distribution?

Hi,

Is it planned to provide a source distribution of maven 2 (and its plugins)?
(actually, http://www.apache.org/dist/maven/source/ is empty)

We have to do some reorganisation first to get the plugins out of the 
way. I'm posting something shortly.
