Fixed in [r1765191|http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?view=revision&revision=1765191]. About resolution: {{quiet}} mode will still result in no output; instead, a new {{output}} parameter was added that allows to write the result of evaluating a given expression to a file. And if no expression is given, the parameter is ignored.

Sample usage: {{mvn help:evaluate -Dexpression="project.groupId" -Doutput=result.txt}}. The file {{result.txt}} would contain the groupId evaluated.
